It's not unthinkable for a government to be overthrown
but that does not ensure anything aside from being open and alone
the police are a corporation that will stick to the bigger guns
so if shits getting real, your neighbours are the ones

There will be no heroes
collectives and unease
bring out a baseball bat
protest with celebration

for those who have had lives lost
and those whom feel unsafe
for those who have been beaten without seeing a case

There will be no romantic revolution
should a substantial change arise
it may be bleak and complex
simple to become entangled and used
be prepared/ pull your fingers into a fist
either way
nobody leaves without singing the goddamn blues
